Scars should have an expiry date! Wait, what? What does that even mean? Greetings, my LinkedIn family. Yesterday night, YouTube recommended me a video - Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna interview on Ranveer Allahbadia podcast. In the podcast, chef Vikas Khanna has shared his transformative journey from struggle to success. His words that would stay with me forever are : "Scars should have an expiry date."The metaphor of linking scars to our painful past is so powerful - isn't it? How long can you and I let our past dictate our present and future? Scars are meant to be healed.Perhaps it's time to focus on and illuminate our present, paving the way for a brighter future.I am curious to hear your thoughts. How do you interpret the idea of giving expiry dates to your scars.I am also sharing the link to this filter free interview.https://lnkd.in/dvN5jdck#softskillstrainer #professionalspeaker #lifelessons #linkedin

I don't know if scars can have an expiry date but to me, they are reminders to make a better life for me every day. The scars show me that I am a survivor and not a victim of my past.

Are you a fan of #TheBear? Then you'll love this podcast with Will Guidara from High Performance. Will and his team focused in on the millions of small interactions between Eleven Madison Park staff and diners and asked themselves: "how do we make these things #awesome?". It doesn't take much to turn an ordinary moment into something extraordinary and this podcast shared what's needed to make that jump in your everyday life. Will's book Unreasonable Hospitality shot to the top of my "to read" pile and I've been diving in any chance I get (subway, before bed).Keys to #UnreasonableHospitality:1. Be Present: When interacting with others, a lot gets communicated. By being present you can find creative ways to meet people where they are and ensure they feel included.2. Take the work (but not yourself) seriously.3. One size fits one: Customized experiences are a key to hospitality. He shared a great story about serving a Nathan's hot dog in their 3 Michelin star kitchen to some high end tourists.Spotify: https://lnkd.in/emiC8RayApple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eHXS-Pjq
