"McDonald's Corp. is looking to hit 50,000 locations around the world by 2027 in what the company calls the fast expansion spurt in its history." McDonald's has always been a gem in the net leased investment world due to their long-term absolute NNN lease structure, outstanding credit, and reasonable rental rates / price points. McDonald's should continue to fetch some of the lowest cap rates on the market for the foreseeable future. Some eye-popping stats from the article:-The chain currently has more than 41,000 restaurants and already committed to opening an extra 2,000 by the end of this year-New restaurant openings will boost sales by 2% next year and 2.5% after 2024-The company expects to reach $130B in systemwide sales this year#netleasedproperties #commercialrealestate #investmentproperties #commercialdevelopment #propertydevelopment #QSRs #netlease #retailrealestate

Would you like fries with that? Visiting a McDonald's New Zealand restaurant in Aotearoa New Zealand was a whole new level of fast food excitement after the first McDonaldβs family restaurant opened on Porirua in 1976.Beneath the Golden Arches, Happy Meals, Big Macs and shoestring fries quickly became familiar to Kiwis as more new franchises appeared. Maccas was open on Sunday and soon became the place to go for riotous birthday parties where uniformed staff efficiently returned restaurants to a spotless and gleaming state. It was a win-win for parents and kids. The 1980s marked a period of rapid growth for American-style family dining in New Zealand as Kiwis began to eat out more, and fast food became a growth industry.During the 80s, RDT Pacific (then Russel Drysdale and Thomas) landed a $30 million contract with McDonaldβs System of New Zealand Ltd as cost managers for the construction and fitout for 25 franchises throughout the country.Current RDT Pacific directors, Mike Hanson, David Prentice and Gordon Hassett worked on the project at the time.McDonaldβs is one of the big moments of mahi we are celebrating in 2023, a significant year for RDT Pacific. Weβre celebrating 80 years of being in business and the outstanding people and industry partners weβve worked with along the way to improve Aotearoa New Zealandβs built environment. It is a privilege to do what we do - we love our work, and we thank everyone and every project that has helped develop and grow our legacy. #rdtpacificis80 #projectmanagers #costmanagement #sustainability

After 13 incredible years, a few weeks ago, I ended my journey at Restaurant Brands International. Over those years, I was able to play a small role in bringing our amazing food and experience to guests around the world with Burger King, Tim Hortons and Firehouse Subs.More importantly, I got to do it with amazing teams, many of whom have become close partners and friends. There are too many to tag here in a single post, but I want to shout out to a few groups:First, to my current and former Innovation and Marketing teams. Thanks for always taking on any challenge, no matter how impossible it seemed on day one. Remember that great ideas often start with a βNoβ or blank stare. Special shout out to some of the best ideas that live on only in our phone photo libraries. Second, to the leaders and mentors that always encouraged me to be myself and push beyond what I thought was possible. I have always appreciated that you gave me the freedom to solve our biggest problems with a compass and not a map. Third, to everyone who supported bring our ideas to life at scale. Specifically, those in Operations (Iβm probably responsible for my fair share of gray hairs), QA, Procurement, Agency Partners and Suppliers (Thanks for always taking those late Friday phone calls). Finally, our franchisees that operated our restaurants with their teams each day.I was able to take valuable lessons from each interaction that ultimately helped create better plans.Whatβs the immediate next step? Going to see how well a seven year old soccer team can run a 4-5-1, finally perfect smoking a brisket, scratch a few restaurants off my ever-growing list, and create new family memories. Not sure if Throwback Thursdays are still a thing, but I'll leave you with a photo of me getting ready for my first day in 2011. Treat everything like its your first project!{Roll Credits}THE LEGENDARY STAR-LORD WILL RETURN

Getting a quick lunch at apparently the only KFC/A&W in Boise - Further proof that if you want to be just even minimally successful in CX, hire people who care about others and possess a sense of urgency. No other requirements needed. For your growing business needs or maybe just your hunger, avoid big monopolistic competition, avoid providers that force you to play by their rules, and defintely avoid the restaurant on the corner of Chinden and Eagle Rd.

Marston's ends Carlsberg partnership to drive pub growthBig news in the hospitality industry today as Marston's has announced its strategic decision to split from Carlsberg to focus solely on expanding its extensive UK pub network. With 1,370 pubs under its belt, Marston's aims to channel its efforts and resources into enhancing its offerings across the country. This shift signifies a strong commitment to growth and innovation within the pub sector, a vital part of the UK's social fabric.Reflecting on this move, it's clear Marston's is positioning itself to leverage its deep-rooted heritage in the UK pub scene. Divesting from the Carlsberg partnership allows the company to streamline operations and hone in on what they do best - fostering welcoming environments and enriching customer experiences in their pubs. This is not merely a withdrawal but a strategic pivot to strengthen their foothold in an evolving market.Interestingly, this development comes just ahead of the Foodservice Cateys scheduled for 11 October 2024 at the Royal Lancaster London hotel. This event will highlight the key players driving the foodservice industry forward. Marston's decision aligns with the emerging trend of focusing on core competencies to create stronger, more resilient businesses. #HospitalityNews #PubExpansion #UKBusiness

We've all known them as fastfood giant but many people may not realize is that McDonaldβs is actually a company built on real estate. Rather than focusing on food, McDonaldβs was initially founded as a real estate company. The goal of was to buy land and lease it to franchisees who would operate McDonaldβs restaurants! #homebuyersguide #homebuyertips #realestateinvesting #ottawahomesforsale #realestateagent #propertyivestment #realestatetrivia
